I feel thoroughly convinced that the obeying of the injuction of Mary Baker Eddy in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 559): "Mortals, obey the heavenly evangel. Take divine Science. Read this book from beginning to end. Study it, ponder it," will heal or adjust any problem that may present itself to humanity to-day. For a mother of three children to know exactly where to begin and where to end, when enumerating the blessings and healings that have been experienced in a home where medicine is unknown and the Christian Science textbook and the Bible are the only method of healing, is rather difficult. Our blessings come daily.

I recall an incident which happened when one of my boys was seven years old. I went on an errand, leaving him playing with other children in the yard; and as it was a hot summer day he was barefooted. While playing he stepped on a nail, which penetrated quite deep into his foot, so that the other children had to help him pull it out. His only thought, he said, was to be alone where he could "talk to God better." He then experienced a beautiful healing, and went back to play. One Friday afternoon our little girl came home from school ill. Work was begun earnestly in Christian Science, and the textbook studied. She was in bed until Sunday morning, but back in school perfectly well on Monday, thereby holding her record of perfect attendance. Another healing she experienced was when out hiking during a vacation. She fell down a very steep hill. Her limbs and face were very badly bruised and scratched, and one eye had dirt in it. After a few treatments the eye began to water and the dirt was washed completely away; it was really wonderful. This happened on a Tuesday; the next Sunday she was able to attend Sunday school and go to a Christian Science lecture in the afternoon, after which there was not a trace of a scratch or scar. Besides the healing, the child learned a valuable lesson in obedience. The other boy had a healing from the result of an accident when the doctors claimed there was a fracture of the skull. Although he was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dying, as soon as work was commenced in Christian Science he regained consciousness and recognized me and said, "Mother," at the same time giving a very contented sigh. In seven days he was released from the hospital, and I should like to express my gratitude for the kindness and love shown us there. In five weeks he was back in school, and it is quite apparent that he is doing better work in school than he did before. Is it any wonder that this little family all unite in gratitude to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her unselfed devotion in giving us Science and Health and in helping mankind to help themselves, through teaching us of the allness of God and the brotherhood of man? We are grateful for all the activities of the Christian Science movement.
