After years of illness I turned to Christian Science as a last resource, knowing I could not continue in a state of mental and physical suffering any longer. I had received every kind attention from doctors, with no permanent relief. In great distress I went to see a friend, who lovingly received me and explained Christian Science teaching to me and gave me some clear thoughts about God as Love. I felt better. In the morning I knew I was healed, and I no longer required a surgical belt I had been wearing for a few years.

I am deeply grateful for the very patient, loving help I received from a practitioner and other Christian Scientists. Day by day my gratitude for our Church Manual grows; also for membership in The Mother Church, for class instruction, and for active work as a member of a Christian Science Society.—(Mrs.) Emma E.
