Out of a heart full of gratitude I want to express my sincere thanks for Christian Science. I became acquainted with it seven years ago, and since then have experienced many healings—of colds, headache, influenza, shingles, mental depression, and discouragement. When my mother, with whom I lived, passed on, I was healed of grief, thanks to the teachings of Christian Science and the loving help of a practitioner.
I also wish to take this opportunity to express gratitude for the healing of my son. Measles, colds, chicken pox, and minor difficulties were met for him through Christian Science, quickly and without after effects. About eight months after my first introduction to Christian Science, when my son was about seven, he fell and broke his arm. A practitioner was asked to take up the work, but a doctor was called to set the bone. His verdict was a double fracture below the elbow, with the muscles so interfering as to make it impossible for the parts to be held together so that they would knit properly, except by wiring, which would necessitate an operation. As I preferred to rely entirely on Christian Science, the practitioner was asked to continue treatment, and almost overnight the parts were brought together and started to knit. The complete healing was accomplished in a comparatively short time.
I thank God for Christian Science. I also wish to express gratitude to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; and to all who have helped to teach mankind the way of Life.
