At the opening meeting of the Bible Convention a clergyman gave warning to "take heed that no man lead you astray," and under the category of what he considers misleading creeds and false prophets he mentioned Christian Science. Now, will you allow me to say that Christian Science, far from being a misleading creed or a false prophet, is blessing this present age immeasurably by persistently and untiringly bringing to notice the efficacy and availability of the indestructible promises of Christ Jesus as contained in the four Gospels. Christian Scientists stand firm in the conviction that the truth the Saviour taught and practiced in the healing of sin and disease is as true to-day, as available and demonstrable, as in the days when it enabled the disciples and early followers to practice the grand verities their Master had revealed, proving by their healing works that they understood his teachings. Christian Scientists are endeavoring, likewise, to follow the Way-shower, and to gain demonstrably the knowledge of the Son of God in their lives; for, in uplifting the Christ, the perfect model, or true sonship, they have proved that power is given to accomplish those healing works which complete the mission of Christianity.
