After consulting various physicians during a period of three years, I decided to try Christian Science treatment for three months to see if I could be relieved of constant pain in my right arm and wrist, which the doctors said was caused by neuritis. I had been obliged to discontinue piano lessons and was much hampered in my school work because I found it very painful to write. Much to the surprise of my parents it was not necessary to ask for three months' treatment, as the healing was practically instantaneous. In less than a week I was again practicing on the piano, my arm being entirely free from pain.

I can never be grateful enough that I found Christian Science in time to have the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School, where a firm foundation for my understanding was laid and I could learn to know God as Love, Principle, Mind, Truth, before my consciousness was filled with prejudices and superstitions about God and His relation to man and the universe.

The understanding of God as Mind, the source of all intelligence, made my school work a joy and never a worry. If I consistently studied during the school term, I never approached the final examination period with dread. Knowing that Mind, all intelligence, is ever present, I was able to realize that the answer to every question was at hand, and words to give expression to ideas came naturally.
