A vicar, as reported in your paper, after dwelling on the evils which he believes will overwhelm our nation, says, "Let a true Bible religion and faith prevail, then England and the Empire would still be safe." And yet he speaks of the "silliness of Christian Science," which he nevertheless says "attracts thousands." Your reporter states that the vicar used illustrations from Science and Health which he declared to be "inane." Christian Science is "true Bible religion," and can be proved to be such by the fruits which it bears. If it is "silly" and its textbook is "inane," how can it "attract thousands" and satisfy those who have been at death's door, or those who have been sunk in sin and are now seeking salvation?

Christian Science attracts thousands because it is a new revelation of the old healing truth lived, practiced, and taught by Christ Jesus, God's messenger to mankind. Many who had lost hope of healing through medical effort and hope of finding salvation through the teaching of the churches, found the "pearl of great price" through the light thrown on the Bible when they read the textbook of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy; and all the scorn thrown upon this textbook by those who have not understood it will not prevent one earnest seeker from gaining the treasure offered in that book.
