The first healing I experienced in Christian Science was that of defective eyesight. My eyes had been thoroughly tested by a reputable optometrist and glasses prescribed to be worn constantly. For twelve years they had been used for all close work. Inside of two weeks after learning of Christian Science, while I was reading a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, an instantaneous healing of this trouble was experienced. There have followed ten years of freedom from the need of glasses, and also from the former headaches and eyestrain. Through my continued study of Christian Science, my health has been changed from a state of frailty to one of strong endurance, enabling me to be constantly about my work, which takes me out of doors in all kinds of weather. The regenerating is still going on, and there is still much to be overcome; but I am convinced that as the truth unfolds, the "fruit of the Spirit" will be experienced in just the degree that the truth is sought and practiced.

I am very grateful for God's loving care, evidenced in membership with The Mother Church and with a branch church; also in class instruction and true friends.
