It is with heartfelt gratitude to God and to our beloved...

It is with heartfelt gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, that I give this testimony, that it may help others. Before becoming interested in Christian Science, I never knew what it meant to be well and happy. The physicians who attended me treated me with the best of their material knowledge, but to no avail.

One day a friend asked my mother to try Christian Science. My mother was then suffering from internal pains in different parts of her body, and had had fallen arches for a number of years. I went to the telephone and called a practitioner, who very lovingly gave the needed help. In a very short time the internal pains had entirely disappeared. A short while after that, the feet became normal. A couple of days after my mother's first healing we made a visit to the practitioner's office, where we learned of the God of love, instead of a God who sends sickness and unhappiness among the people as punishment. I was healed of a stomach disorder and constipation; also, almost instantaneously, of continual soreness of the throat, of many years' standing. For these healings I am indeed grateful, but more so for the spiritual uplift gained through studying and applying this blessed truth in my everyday life.

Christian Science has awakened me out of a mental stupor. It has proved to me the power of Truth over error. I am grateful for our periodicals, which mean a great deal to us in solving our everyday problems. I am grateful for the privilege of being a member of a branch church, and of The Mother Church. I am grateful to the loving practitioner who has helped me on my onward journey from sense to Soul; and I am more than grateful for a knowledge of the truth that makes free.
