I send my testimony of healing to the Sentinel, because I have received so much help and courage through the reading of testimonies given there.

Fifteen years ago I was operated upon for a bladder trouble, which had caused me great and unceasing pain for more than three years. After the operation, when still in the hospital, I received a letter from a brother, who told me how wonderfully a friend of his had been healed in Christian Science, after all material and medical aid had failed. What he told me I found very beautiful and wonderful, but rather smiled when he suggested that I could have been spared the operation if I had had a clear understanding of Christian Science. Although the kind professor who operated upon me told me I should never have that trouble again, in less than a year it was back in an even more severe and painful form.

In the meanwhile I had heard more about Christian Science, and had also read some of its literature; and what I had heard and read appealed to me so strongly that I was quite sure here was the truth of which Christ Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." I then decided not to go back to the physicians, but to give Christian Science a fair trial; and I am glad to say that since that time, fourteen years ago, I have never visited a doctor or tasted a drop of medicine. Divine Mind has been my only physician and medicine.
