Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." I experienced the truth of this statement when some years ago I found myself in a pitiful condition. Owing to the war I had become penniless; and as I was getting on in years and did not have a profession, I was at a loss to know what was to become of me. I could not expect help from my fellowmen, for a short time before that I had lost my husband, and was now alone in a foreign country. This was the time when I found Christian Science.

Through the work of a loving practitioner the way to an agreeable means of making a livelihood soon opened. My improved physical condition soon made me realize that I had found a never failing help in Christian Science, for an old, painful ailment gradually yielded to Christian Science treatment. In this manner I learned to overcome the fear of the future; and all my problems are solved at the right moment. I have received help every time it has been necessary. The most precious gift of Christian Science, however, is the consciousness that I am getting nearer and nearer to God, and to the knowledge of where and what He is. For this knowledge and all the help received, I am deeply grateful.
