With a desire to help others as I have been helped by testimonies I submit the following. Several years ago, when I first took treatment in Christian Science, I was healed instantaneously of what had been diagnosed as torpid liver in a severe form. Soon after this, when reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I came to a passage on page 383 which so awakened me that I was healed that day of smoking and other ills. Through the study of this book a sense of comfort both mental and physical was experienced, and so established in me that it seemed a miracle to one who had been in the bottomless pit for so many years. In the years that have followed, Christian Science has been my only guide in everything.

During the war, while serving as an instructor in the air service of the army, the understanding of Christian Science gave me the unqualified sense of the ever present outstretched arms of divine Love at all times. At this time I was taken with influenza, which developed into pneumonia. After my life was despaired of I was restored to life and health through the earnest help of a Christian Science field worker. This experience really awakened in me the desire to be "about my Father's business." Working toward this desired attainment with the help of a practitioner, I was shown the way, which though straight and narrow is really the only road to present and eternal happiness. Right at the turn in the road I was privileged to have class teaching in Christian Science; and this was indeed the most wonderful blessing that Christian Science has ever given me. Since then, through this teaching and the loving help of a practitioner, the fact has been demonstrated to me that God's law is supreme, "for in him we live, and move, and have our being." If we will only leave our every problem to Him, it will be demonstrated through spiritual understanding that what seems impossible to mortals is fully possible to God. In doing this we are always rewarded by finding that His way is always superior to any human way.

I am most grateful for God's omnipotent law, as revealed in Christian Science, which was demonstrated in the life of Christ Jesus through his at-one-ment with God; also for Mrs. Eddy's marvelous humility, which enabled her to give the world the teachings of the Scriptures in an understandable way through Science and Health, the Manual of The Mother Church, and her other writings.
