Over ten years ago I turned to Christian Science for physical healing, being in a critical condition as the result of a railroad accident. The case was considered hopeless by the doctors in attendance. Difficulties to be combated were a crushed arm, fractured pelvis, dislocated hips and backbone, a blood tumor, internal injuries and lacerations. Up to that time I had been rather opposed to Christian Science; but when I realized my condition and heard the verdict, at the suggestion of a member of my family I decided to have Christian Science treatment. The bones were set by a surgeon and a portion of the body was put in a plaster cast, which the surgeon told my relatives might be of some benefit, although he was very doubtful of results. After Christian Science treatment began, it was made clear to me that I could not mix Mind and medicine; consequently, no drugs were used. My progress was steady; and at the end of four months I was perfectly normal, instead of an invalid as had been predicted.
Not only am I most grateful for this beautiful and perfect healing, but I am thankful for all other healings. Since this experience, a little daughter has come to us, and I find Christian Science most valuable in solving the daily problems of a mother. I can find no fitting phrase to express my gratitude to our dear Leader, who labored long and unselfishly to establish the Cause of Christian Science, which teaches us, if we are obedient, how to destroy evil of every kind.
(Mrs.) Geraldine I. Logan, Philadelphia, Pa.
