That Christian Science does heal quickly was proved to...

That Christian Science does heal quickly was proved to me several summers ago. I motored to Chicago with some friends who were not Christian Scientists, and on our way we stopped at a summer resort in Indiana. On the pavilion there was a small elevated platform; and in hurriedly stepping from this I turned my ankle, which resulted in a severe sprain. I said nothing about it, but declared the allness of good and the ever-presence of divine Love. I had no fear, and thought by the time we reached Chicago the healing would be done. However, we reached Chicago about ten o'clock that night, and in trying to alight from the car I found I could not walk, the foot being very much swollen and the pain intense. One of the men in the party informed me that if the foot were no better in the morning he would send a physician to my room, whether I wanted one or not. I wired a Christian Science practitioner about twelve o'clock that night. The result was that within less than an hour the pain left me, and I spent a very comfortable night. The following morning there was no pain at all; the swelling had gone down almost entirely, and I was able to be on foot the entire day; in fact, we left the hotel about nine o'clock for a shopping tour through the stores, and did not return until six o'clock. In the evening we had a dinner party; and to prove the completeness of my healing, I was on my feet most of the time from about nine o'clock to twelve without the slightest feeling that anything had happened. I felt so overjoyed for this healing, because I think it proved to the friends who were with me that there is something in Christian Science; for since then they have not ridiculed it. Every day we have proofs of God's love and care, for which I am grateful.

All the good that is unfolding in the lives of Christian Scientists is the result of the correct application of divine Principle, which is revealed to mankind in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. For this revelation I am greateful to God and to Mrs. Eddy.
