That the policy of The Christian Science Monitor meets with quite general approval is shown by the following extract:

"The Christian Scientists did not depend upon a special interest paper to teach their doctrines; they founded a daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor, which was ranked as the second most influential paper in the United States in a ballot taken by all the editors in this country." To quote from still another source: Sir Charles Frederick Higham, noted British advertising expert, says, "The Christian Science Monitor is widely circulated in Europe and extensively read, particularly in the editorial offices of the newspapers and periodicals. It is looked upon in Europe as an index to the best in American thought."
