I have received so many blessings through the study of Christian Science that I want to express my gratitude. When I began to study Christian Science, I was sick with many ills, and supply was very limited; but as I studied along with the other members of the family, my health became better; and I was so joyous and happy over it. My supply, however, continued to be a problem to me. At last I thought I would talk with a Christian Science practitioner; so at the next Sunday service I met a practitioner and asked her to tell me how to go about knowing the truth for supply. She told me that God alone was the source of supply; and then she was silent for a moment. My sense of self-pity soon left, and I felt so restful and peaceful. I had always been afraid to talk with a practitioner for fear I would say the wrong thing, but this one expressed so much love and was so kind that the fear left, like the self-pity.

About three days after that I felt the desire to teach music. I had given piano lessons at one time, but my pupils had dropped off, one at a time, because they seemed to have no supply either. It was a very warm day when I started out to get my class together again, but I did not feel the heat of the day, I was so uplifted; and I gave the music lessons whether the pupils had money or not, declaring all the time that God was my source of supply and He would attend to the recompense. For the first time in my life I found myself working for God. The supply surely came, and I am grateful for everything; but I am still working for God; and I am not afraid any more to do something for nothing from a human point of view.
