I was healed through Christian Science, in 1918, of many discordant conditions, caused by an accident. The condition that caused most suffering was a bone disease of the leg. All kinds of material remedies were used, but I received no relief. I was under the doctor's care for about one year, and in a hospital for several months of the time. During the period I was operated on twice. After the second operation, I returned home; but in a short time it seemed necessary for me to have a third and very serious operation performed. Christian Science was then recommended, and a friend brought a practitioner to visit me. Treatment was started, and I immediately experienced a great sense of peace. That night was the first for many months that I slept without taking any drug; and since then I have never taken any medicine. Needless to say, I did not have the third operation; for after a few days' treatment the wound began to heal, and I had no pain at all.

The year before I became interested in Christian Science, I walked very little; and I had not been on my feet at all for six months. A short time after Christian Science treatment was begun, I began to walk. Often I found small particles of the bone; but I was not alarmed, as fear had been removed. I continued to walk, and had no ill results. The bone gradually healed, as I learned what substance is, through the study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I can now walk and run as much as I like, without having any sense of fatigue.

I am extremely grateful to God, to Christ Jesus, and to Mrs. Eddy for this and many other healings I have experienced through the aid of Christian Science. Words fail to express my gratitude for class instruction, which indeed has been a great help to me. I am also grateful for the privilege of being a member of The Mother Church.
