A sense of deep gratitude compels me to tell of some of the wonderful blessings I have received since I became interested in Christian Science. For many years I had been a sufferer from bowel trouble. I was either under the doctor's treatment or taking drugs all the time. Finally, the doctor told me the lower intestine was paralyzed, as there was no action or feeling there. One day a friend brought me some copies of the Christian Science Sentinel to read; and the following Sunday I went to church. I bought a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and began the study of Christian Science in earnest, with the help of dear friends who were Scientists. With continued study of Science and Health the bowels resumed their natural function, and my health improved at once. Later, with the help of a practitioner, I was healed under Science treatment. Soon I was doing the work alone on a large farm, and was on my feet most of the time. To me the healing was very wonderful.

I have found the study and application of Christian Science a great help in my daily duties, and many seemingly hard problems have been easily solved by the understanding of this wonderful truth. I am truly thankful to God for the many benefits I have received.
