[Written for the Sentinel]

God is Love

While God is Love,
Can skies be gray?
Can sorrows dim or hide the way?
Walking at the Father's side,
Can aught but peace with us abide?
Enfolded in His care,
What can but bless
With tenderness,
While God is Love?

Since God is Love,
Life holds no grief,
No faded flower of disbelief.
No fear can turn Love's day to night,
No evil make Truth's light less bright.
God's presence everywhere,
Our hand in His
All-power is,
Since God is Love.
