The year previous to coming into Christian Science I was in an accident, which brought to my thought the fear of death. This fear caused many physical ills, from which I suffered for a year, remaining most of the time in bed. I was told by attending physicians I might die at any minute, as nothing could be done for me. I turned to Christian Science for help in the year 1909. A Christian Science practitioner took the case, and many so-called ills were healed; yet the fear of death still seemed to remain, depriving me of activity. I was in this wilderness for ten years, yet was clinging to God, not to material aid. Three years ago the hour came when I had to face what I had greatly feared for ten years. I became a victim to influenza and pneumonia. While in the death valley I learned something of the truth about God as Life. Through this spiritual discernment, and the faithful work of a Christian Science practitioner, I was restored in a few weeks to health and strength.

I am very grateful for Christian Science.
