With a grateful heart I should like to testify to the great...

With a grateful heart I should like to testify to the great blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. For years I suffered from weak nerves and intense nervous pains, which grew worse from year to year, until but few parts of my body appeared to be free from pain. The suffering became unbearable; and whatever remedies I tried, or whatever health resort was recommended, the relief and improvement were but temporary. Many physicians tried to help me, too; but their methods gave me only slight relief. Again and again the pain returned, with unbearable, persistent intensity. Discouraged and hopeless, I lived a cheerless life. My family, as disheartened as I, and wholly discouraged, did all they could to lighten my burden.

Twice I had been told of the blessed healings brought about by Christian Science; but I lacked the proper faith in this teaching to investigate it, as I had been so often disappointed in the past by everything I had tried. Last October, as I was again tormented by the intense pain and the sleepless nights spent because of it, an acquaintance again told me of the great healings which had resulted from Christian Science, and urged me to try it. Then I asked a practitioner for help. This was most lovingly given; and in the course of two days all pain had completely disappeared. To my family, as well as to me, this seemed a miracle. I became stronger and healthier from day to day; and a new buoyancy entered my thought, filling me with indescribable gratitude for the good God who helps us; also for our faithful Leader, Mrs. Eddy, as well as for the loving help of the kind practitioner. I have now been a healthy woman for some time, and can attend to my household duties as formerly. To-day, with a grateful heart, I feel impelled to give my testimony, telling of my wonderful recovery from a painful disease. To God, who so manifestly helped me, all praise and thanks are due.
