Christian Science came into my life some twenty-five years ago. At that time my mother, when at the point of death, was restored to us by its ministrations. Since then, it has gradually become the supreme desire of my life, not only to live and demonstrate divine Principle as revealed in its teachings, but to devote my time to pointing out the way to all whom the Father sends to me in His name, to aid them to be patient, to persevere in the overcoming of difficulties; for to him that overcometh shall be given "to eat of the tree of life."

One thing standing out in my life that has succumbed to the reformatory mission of Christian Science, is a great sense of financial limitation. I had been early trained to observe and practice rigid saving and so-called economy.

As I learned more of God's goodness through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I realized that the demands laid upon me as a student of Christian Science were seemingly exacting. I was required to support the literature and all the other activities of our growing Cause. I had a great struggle to realize that I could subscribe for all the literature and fulfill all my other duties; but this became quite easy. Always the necessary money was on hand when the time came for the subscriptions to be renewed. Another thing I had to learn was that I could afford to give more than a small coin for my Sunday collection; in fact, every phase of my life was changed, enlarged, and rebuilt upon a much more generous basis.
