Derby Daily Telegraph

A person working in the science of mathematics knows that often he must accept a theory or premise which, as yet, he has by no means demonstrated; but he knows that by adhering to given rules and by faithful application of these rules, he will eventually demonstrate that which at present seems beyond his comprehension. The perfection and unity of God and man is the absolute spiritual truth as taught by Jesus. Sin, sickness, and death are unrealities of the material concept of existence. These may seem real to the material senses; but this seeming never made their existence real. As their utter unreality is understood, through a more perfect understanding of the truth of God's allness, their seeming existence becomes less apparently real, until they finally disappear from one's life in the fuller understanding of perfection. "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free," said Jesus; and here is the authority and basis of all Christian Science teaching and practice.
