I rejoice in the words of the psalmist, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases."
For five years I was bound to a wheel chair with what physicians pronounced either muscular rheumatism, muscular nervous trouble, paralysis, or diabetes. None of the physicians were able to do anything to help me. My condition apparently became alarming, so the attending one suggested I try an operation. I was averse to this, but thought it the only chance, so made the start. But thank God, before I reached the hospital a friend met me at a transfer station and proposed that I agree to try Christian Science. This it seems was a turning point in my life, for I began improving at once. After several months' treatment by practitioners and by study of God's Word with the help of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I was entirely healed. I was also healed of stomach trouble, neuralgia, chronic appendicitis, and heart trouble. During these treatments I laid aside glasses I had worn for eleven years, for it had seemed during this time that I could not do without them.
We have had many other demonstrations of the power of Truth in our home. Study of God's Word has become a daily pleasure since learning to read it with the help of Science and Health, when it used to be a Sunday obligation we owed God. It is wonderful, indeed, to even begin to know our Lord. I am so thankful to Mrs. Eddy for her discovery, Christian Science, and its blessings to the whole world. I am also thankful for the literature. I eagerly devour each publication. The Sunday school is such a blessing; our little girl enjoys it so much and it is wonderful the good thoughts she brings home to us. It seems now impossible that one could get along without this truth.
