When Christian Science was first offered to me as a religion that heals, its message seemed wonderful. Having no faith, however, I just forgot there was such a church. About five years afterwards a loved one passed on, and grief overwhelmed me. Six months later a sister accepted Christian Science and had a healing; so I asked for Mrs. Eddy's book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and since then have read it every day. I would like to tell about my first instantaneous healing. Some boiling starch was spilled over my hand, but I declared the truth about myself as God's child and about His protecting presence and had not even a red or sore spot from that experience. My daughter was healed of measles through the help of a practitioner.
