Recognizing the inevitable correlation of Christian practice...

Canon City (Colo.) Record

Recognizing the inevitable correlation of Christian practice with preaching, Christ Jesus proved his doctrine of the omnipotence of good by destroying, and thus proving unreal, every phase of evil, such as sin, sorrow, and sickness. Furthermore he said: "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also," and "By their fruits ye shall know them." These last words constitute his unerring test of Christian discipleship, by which it may be seen that Christianity to Jesus was to be measured by deeds rather than dogmas, by spiritual freedom rather than material formalism, by demonstrable knowledge of God and His unchanging laws of harmony instead of blind belief.
