It is with a sense of deep gratitude for all that Christian Science...
It is with a sense of deep gratitude for all that Christian Science has done and is doing for me that I write this testimony. All that I am and have I owe to this religion. Several members of my family passed on with tubercular disease and friends said I would soon follow, as I was never well. Christian Science was presented to me, however, and I took up the study of the Bible together with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, also read the Sentinel and the Journal; and as false beliefs were replaced with right ideas of God and of man's relation to Him I began to manifest better health and more strength. Every fear of tubercular disease has been overcome and I seldom have a cold.
A year ago I seemed to be taking a very severe cold with all the symptoms of hay fever. I went to my room, and for one whole day and most of the night I studied the Bible and our textbook. In the morning I was entirely healed. I have also been healed of bowel trouble of long standing. A little more than a year ago I fell downstairs and to mortal sense was badly hurt. I declared the truth as best I could and after a few moments was able to get to a couch, where I spent the night. The following day I asked for help from a practitioner and in a few weeks was able to walk. I suffered no pain after the first night. When passing through a great sorrow, I was most wonderfully sustained and was made to know that there can be no separation in divine Mind. During the past year I have witnessed many proofs of God's allness and protecting care.
As I daily study the Bible in connection with Mrs. Eddy's writings and get a better understanding of God and man, I see more clearly what gratitude means. I am ever grateful for Christian Science.
