My heart overflows with gratitude for the many blessings...

My heart overflows with gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. I had suffered for thirty years from an organic trouble, nervous prostration, and many other discordant conditions. A little over a year ago I was told by physicians that an operation was inevitable. It did not seem possible to either my husband or myself that I could stand any more suffering and live. We had reached our extremity; materia medica, drugless systems of treatment,—in fact all material means,—had failed. We then decided to try Christian Science, so went to see a practitioner, and learned that healing is of God. With just a few treatments I was healed. Pain, discouragement, sorrow,—all disappeared into their native nothingness. I am very grateful for this physical healing, but most grateful for having found a God of love.

Words are inadequate to tell what this year has brought to me and mine,—joy unspeakable, health, happiness; but more than all else to me is some understanding of the divine sonship, God's gift. There have been a few days when to human sense it seemed difficult to go on, but by being obedient and seeking to know the truth all problems have been readily solved. There have been many, many days when blessings were so abundant that all I could think of or say was: Father, I thank thee. I am very grateful to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for giving us this beautiful truth; grateful, too, for the privilege of class instruction, and that in Christian Science I am learning to understand the words of Christ Jesus: "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me . . . For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
