It gives me the deepest sense of thankfulness to God and of gratitude to Mrs. Eddy that I can be a living witness to the healing power of God and to the peace which follows. In March, 1914, I fell from the top of a freight car, and as a result my legs became paralyzed. Eight months afterwards paralysis of the right arm and left side of the face set in. Nineteen specialists and doctors experimented on me for about a year, but I was getting worse. At this stage a Sentinel was handed to me by a friend. This I partly read, only to ridicule it at first; but later I read and reread it. Then Science and Health was given me. I read it and found myself trying to learn to know God. Several healings followed. Bowel trouble and grippe were overcome, but the final awakening came nine months after I began to read Christian Science literature. One night I awoke to find myself well, and I walked the floor, laughing and crying for untold joy. The day before I had been a helpless piece of humanity, wheeled around in a chair. That same week I was able to return to my old position.

I have had many healings since, and my gratitude cannot be told in words for the peace and harmony that this healing power has brought into my life. I hope this simple testimony may prove a help to others.
