I gratefully acknowledge the good which I have received through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and of the Bible as interpreted by her. Thirteen years ago everything looked dark. Every material means had been tried for relief from nervous prostration, rheumatism of the feet, and lung trouble, but with-out avail. I was very downhearted, but felt that I could not accept the teaching that a just God would take parents away from little children who were entirely dependent on them. A very dear friend came to see me one day, and noticing my depressed state she spoke of her own healing in Christian Science. I was immediately aroused, and as I listened to her words of encouragement, could scarcely wait to know more about this religion, I was so anxious to be well. She told me to read the ninety-first psalm and said she would send me a copy of the Sentinel so I learned the psalm by heart and began to study diligently all the literature. I had testing times and much opposition to meet, but that did not matter, for I had found the truth which makes free. In less than a year I was healed, and have had no return of these ailments. I am grateful for all our literature and rejoice in the privilege of being a member of The Mother Church.
