Christian Science is indeed the "pearl of great price" to me, and my earnest desire is that I may bring the healing truth to some one else. I was completely healed of acute stomach trouble, and a great freedom accompanied the demonstration, for a great fear was allayed. The "little book," "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," was "sweet at its first taste," as Mrs. Eddy says on page 559, but its digestion was "bitter." Material sense clamored loud for admittance to my consciousness, and error whispered in many ways that there would be time for the living of Christian Science later, that it was easier for one older and more settled in life to demonstrate and prove the truth as taught by Mrs. Eddy; yet the seed that had been planted grew day by day, until now there is a great hope, a wonderful peace, and a mighty longing to be good welling up in my heart, that I know can never be destroyed.

In replacing each wrong thought that would deter my progress, with the correct thought, the right ideas that I have gained through the study of the Bible together with Science and Health and other authorized Christian Science literature, the wall of salvation is being built; and where at one time weakness, doubt, and fear seemed to have dominion over my thinking, these are gradually being replaced with thoughts of strength, courage, and assurance. These have not been won in a day or without effort on my part, but the understanding of the allness and goodness of God has come through patient, persistent endeavor to put out of my thought all of these doubtful, detaining suggestions and to know that man is made in the image and likeness of God, and that this can be proved now.

It is Love alone that has guided and guarded me through these testing times, and I daily pray that I may be accounted faithful to the beautiful teachings of Christian Science.
