It is with the deepest gratitude and love I send my testimony. I was a constant sufferer for seven years and underwent two major operations. I wore glasses, and for a year was under the care of an eye specialist, being dismissed with the statement that the glasses were doing me no good, but perhaps a trip to California might help me. In my suffering and disappointment I did go to California (my home was then in Portland, Oregon). Man's extremity was surely God's opportunity, for there I found Christian Science and was healed of the eye trouble, of rheumatism, lumbago, weakness, and fear of colds, just through reading the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

Every day we have abundant proof of God's protecting care, and my thankfulness to God and my gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, can never be expressed in words.—(Mrs.) Mabel Patterson, Oakland, Calif.
