I wish to express my deep gratitude for a healing I experienced toward the end of last year. We were hauling in a heavy stationary engine by horse power when the rope that tied the pulley thereto broke. The pulley flew through the air and caught me right across the kneecap, but although badly wounded I managed to go on with the work for an hour or so and drive myself home in the car. The next day the leg was quite stiff, and I could only just get upstairs, so I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner asking for treatment, and was driving my car within a fortnight.

I found the truth in 1906. About the first thing I was delivered from was fear. I was never more surprised in my life than when I read in the Bible, "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." I never dreamed there was anything so practical in the Bible. I am very thankful for deliverance from the bad effect of accidents and cuts; as regards the latter I can recollect three or cases in which bleeding has been stopped at once. I have also been healed of varicose veins, after suffering from them for more than a dozen years.

I am indeed very thankful to God, and to Jesus the Way-shower, also grateful to our beloved Leader, who has shown us the way in this age.
