I am deeply grateful to be able to testify to the healing power of Christian Science. From childhood I was troubled with nervousness, and when about the age of nine years this condition developed into epileptic fits. Although two physicians did all they could to help me, their efforts met with but little success. The attacks gradually became more frequent and severe, until at length I did not know what it was to have a complete night's rest. The only hope held out to me was that as I got older, being quite healthy otherwise, I might outgrow them. This went on for about eleven years. On the advice of our family physician, we consulted a specialist whose prescription seemed to help for a short time, but I gradually lapsed into the old condition. When the specialist was told this he said he was sorry he could do nothing more for me. By this time I was over twenty years of age; there was no hope of recovery, and indeed I felt myself gradually sinking.

My mother, having heard a little about Christian Science, decided in our extremity to ask for its aid. We found the address of a practitioner in The Christian Science Journal and called to see her. She spoke very kindly and said she would do what she could to help me. I got a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and began to study it. At first the healing seemed a little slow, but gradually the attacks were less severe and I became stronger; in a short time I was able to put away all my medicine, and in less than eight months was completely healed. It is now over two years since this blessing came to me, and although I have had several trying experiences, I am still in perfect health, and enjoy life as never before, for which I am thankful to God and grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am deeply grateful for the teaching of Christian Science, and my daily desire and prayer is for a clearer understanding of divine Principle and for more of that Mind "which was also in Christ Jesus."

I give this testimony with the hope that it may help others to take courage and press on.
