I am very grateful for the opportunity of telling what Christian Science has done for me. For twelve years prior to April, 1915, I had been in very poor health. Doctors had diagnosed my case as fibroid tumors and for several years I took treatments and medicine from our best physicians, but gradually grew worse. These doctors advised me to have an operation, saying it was the only means of relief. Every three or four months I would be in bed with severe hemorrhages lasting from two to three weeks and leaving me in an extremely weakened condition. This continued until January, 1915, at which time I was taken very ill and was in bed for three months with continual hemorrhages. I was so weak that it was almost impossible to raise my head from the pillow, and my friends did not expect me to get well.

At this critical time Christian Science was recommended to me, and as a last resort I reluctantly consented to try it, although I had little or no faith in it. This was about the middle of April, 1915. From the first I began to improve, and in about two months I dismissed the practitioner, being completely healed. I am unable to find words to express my gratitude for the wonderful healing of this long-standing trouble, also for the overcoming of several minor afflictions through an understanding of the truth taught by Christ Jesus and explained by Mrs. Eddy.
