Christ Jesus not only preached that the kingdom of heaven is at hand, but he furnished tangible evidence to corroborate his teaching by healing the sick, freeing the sin bound, overcoming death, and reversing every claim of evil. Furthermore he distinctly commissioned all of his followers to do the work that he did, and his instructions were designed to enable them to fulfill that commission. For instance, at one time he said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make free," thereby implying that bondage of any sort was due to lack of knowledge of the truth. Now knowledge of the truth cannot be termed suggestion; hence the error of speaking of Christian Science as suggestion, for the practice of Christian Science consists of nothing other than knowing the truth about the one God and His perfect creation as is set forth in the Scriptures. On page 111 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy writes, "The Principle of divine metaphysics is God; the practice of divine metaphysics is the utilization of the power of Truth over error; its rules demonstrate its Science."

The implication that Christian Science is not Christian is refuted by the Christly results of its practice, whereby those enslaved by debasing habits are freed, the sorrowing are comforted, the sick are healed, and spiritual enlightenment is afforded to all who abide by its rules.
