Through Christian Science I was instantaneously healed of...
Through Christian Science I was instantaneously healed of serious stomach trouble and general debility which had burdened me since childhood. This healing made me supremely happy, not only because of the relief from bondage, but because it proved to me that Christian Science is the truth that Jesus taught. We have frequent demonstrations in our home which prove to us the efficacy of this beautiful truth.
I wish to tell of my brother-in-law's wonderful healing of a malignant growth on the liver and of diabetes. He had no knowledge of Christian Science except what we had tried to give him after learning that physicians had pronounced his case hopeless. He went so far as to visit a practitioner, but his faith being stronger on the side of medicine he decided to return to that, as he considered his case altogether too serious to trust to something of which he knew so little. He soon became very ill and was confined to bed for many weeks. Finally physicians said that he had but ten days to live. My husband and I visited him on a Sunday afternoon, and to mortal sense it seemed that we might receive the message of his passing on within the next twenty-four hours. He was such a sufferer that after returning home we telephoned to his family and inquired if we might engage a Christian Science practitioner.
The family consented to this, and Christian Science treatment was commenced that evening by a faithful worker, and continued for ten days. Then, as there was no Christian Science thought or cooperation in the home, we decided to discontinue the treatments. The healing had, however, already taken place, although it required a few weeks for the patient and his friends to realize that it was permanent, owing to the fact that physicians had pronounced the case positively hopeless. It gives me pleasure to say that my brother-in-law is now well and has resumed his work, continuing it without interruption up to the present time.
