Christian Science came to me when all else had failed
Christian Science came to me when all else had failed. I would be better for a short time, then as ill as ever again. I was acquainted with several Christian Scientists, and one morning something (I now know it was Truth leading me) told me to go to one of them and ask for help. I did so, and the lady sent a practitioner to see me. In a short time I was healed. I am grateful not only for the physical healing, but also for the mental cleansing, which brings joy and peace. At the time I was being treated for the chronic trouble my arm was bandaged and I was carrying it in a sling, having fractured a bone at the elbow. The day after the practitioner called I took the arm out of the sling and soon the bandage was discarded. The arm has never given me any further trouble.
We can never be grateful enough to Mrs. Eddy for her untiring efforts, and for giving to us her book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which shows us so clearly how to interpret the Bible and how each one may work out his own salvation here and now. I am also grateful for the Sentinel, the Journal, and the Monitor, for I have been helped over many seeming obstacles by reading them.
