In 1911 I was in what is considered the last stage of pulmonary tuberculosis. I was weak, emaciated, and suffered from violent hemorrhages after the least physical exertion. The doctor informed my family that my condition was hopeless and that the end might come at any time. Since there was no promise of material relief I turned to God as a last resort, and with the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner, together with a careful study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed. After this remarkable healing I allowed my interest in Christian Science to wane, and in a couple of years was obliged to do the work over as the result of physical relapse. I again had help and worked hard and patiently, so that in due time I was once more master of the condition, and have continued in the enjoyment of health ever since.

I have been healed not only of sin and disease, but also of a sense of poverty, the result of sickness, together with a limited sense of strength and ability to accept employment other than that to which I was accustomed. I can now do very hard labor; indeed, I work from ten to thirteen hours a day in a factory and go to and from work in all. kinds of weather without suffering any bad physical effects. This is surely proof of my healing and of my reliance on Truth.

I am truly thankful to God and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the many blessings received. I also appreciate the loving help of practitioners and other Christian Scientists.
