In October, 1910, when we decided to try Christian Science for our little girl of four, we were filled with anxiety and fear for our children. Our eldest child had been operated on several times for tubercular glands, and I was worried to distraction over the second child, who seemed to be very delicate and sickly, so that I was beginning to believe she might have this disease in another form. The teaching of Christian Science came like a ray of hope, as I had lost much of my faith in medical methods. The little girl began to mend under treatment by a Christian Science practitioner, so that gradually my fear was lessened and none of the terrible things I had anticipated came upon us. Both of these children are now strong and well, and we seldom have any illness in our family of six.
In the six years that we have been interested in Christian Science we have had so many blessings it would be impossible to tell of them all. Glasses which had been worn for a structural defect of the eyes have been discarded, frequent sick headaches have ceased to occur, and a malignant sore on my hand has disappeared; also many attacks of earache and other minor ills among the children have been overcome. My husband has been helped in his business problems many times, and we have a home where discord has been replaced by harmony and happiness.
We are grateful that our children may grow up with a better understanding of God as infinite Love, as taught in this logical and practical religion which is a help in every need; and we appreciate the good that comes to us through the Christian Science periodicals and so many sources, so that our cup indeed "runneth over."
