In every way I have felt the harmony which even a glimpse of the truth brings. When a child I could never travel without being miserable, but on one occasion, before a trip of two days and nights, my mother asked a Christian Science friend to treat me, and as a result of the treatment I felt no annoyance then, nor have I suffered from this ailment since, though I have been on the train a great deal.
I came to Christian Science for peace, both mental and physical. An eruption appeared on my face, and for months I tried various material means of relief,—followed a physician's prescriptions, ate only certain foods, and tried other methods of treatment; but instead of improving, the condition became worse. Then I knew the time had come for me to turn to Christian Science. The healing was slow, but I read and studied the Bible, together with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and as I learned more of the divine Principle of being, the fear grew less and less and the discord vanished.
I have had many other healings, some of them with the help of a friend who is a practitioner. There is still much to be overcome, but to have found the way is cause for constant gratitude and rejoicing. Each day brings new proofs that as we seek the truth earnestly, discords vanish and we become conscious of a wonderful sense of harmony.
