In 1913 I was in a very poor state of health, owing to abdominal trouble. Although a doctor had been treating me for some time, I seemed to grow weaker continually. Then my sister came home on a visit and she had her books, the Bible, Quarterly, and Science and Health, with her. She had been healed through Christian Science of a severe case of gall-stone, for which the physician said an operation was the only remedy. She told us of her experience, and said that if I wished she would have treatment for me. She accordingly wrote to her practitioner, who gave me treatment at once, with the result that before we had time to get a reply I was up and doing my work.
In March, 1915, my little four year old boy had some trouble with the kidneys. I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner, asking for one treatment for him, and he was entirely healed. Christian Science has helped me to know that God is an ever-present help in all things. I have become quicker with my work, have learned to control a high temper, and have found things that were seemingly lost; in fact it helps me to solve all of life's problems.
Words cannot express my thankfulness to God for His loving care and guidance, also my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for explaining to us the teachings of Jesus.
