In the year 1911 my wife, who had been an invalid for many years, after exhausting all material means, was healed through Christian Science of what is called a fatal disease. I was so much impressed by her wonderful recovery that I began to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. In a short time I was cured of the tobacco habit, then of the pill habit, while after one treatment by a practitioner I was healed of the drink habit. I am, and have been since my false belief regarding these things was changed, entirely free from them.

I am also glad to testify to a changed consciousness, and a clearer understanding of God and our relation to Him. I am grateful for the knowledge that He is our tender, loving Father, "who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;" that He is our strength, our life, our healer, and the source of infinite supply. I am daily studying the Bible and our text-book, striving for the Mind of Christ. I am thankful to God, also grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who has so patiently and lovingly given us the glorious truth discovered by her, for it makes us free indeed.—George D. Burdett, Lexington, Ky.
