To say I am thankful for Christian Science and what it...

To say I am thankful for Christian Science and what it has done for me would not do justice to my sense of gratitude for this new-old blessed truth which has set me free from pain and mental depression. I came into Christian Science because I needed help. I was sick and had tried everything I could find in materia medica without obtaining relief. The doctor told me a surgical operation was the only thing which would save my life; but I thank our heavenly Father, and am grateful to His beloved servant, Mrs. Eddy, for the truth which I have learned in the study of the Bible together with her book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," since through it I have been healed of all those diseases.

Five years ago I was taking six kinds of medicine every day and was to human sense a physical wreck. Although a church-member and considering myself a Christian, I knew little about spirituality or spiritual life. After turning to Christian Science, however, with a fervent desire to do my Father's will I laid material remedies aside. I am grateful for the complete freedom from all physical ills which followed, but still more thankful for the knowledge that I am God's child and that He is our Father-Mother God. One year later, when I was attacked by acute catarrh of the stomach, a Christian Science practitioner was called, and the healing was complete in a week. I am also thankful for the healing of my little granddaughter of tuberculosis after three days' treatment. I thank God for the truth that makes us free.—Anna Bennett, Zelienople, Pa.
