I send this testimony with the hope that it may reach some receptive thought. Many times when error seemed to talk to me, I have picked up the Sentinel or Journal, and while reading about the healings that my fellow men have experienced, my heart has overflowed with gratitude to God for His "wonderful works to the children of men."

Three years ago, when Christian Science found me, I was in a very discordant condition, the result of an automobile accident, and was in constant pain. Several of the best physicians in our city were consulted, and they advised an operation, to which I submitted. I was no better, however; indeed, the nervous condition seemed worse. One physician said mine was one of the worst cases with which he had ever come in contact. I tried several physicians of other schools, but each gave a different cause for my condition, until I lost faith in all of them. At this point I was as near being frightened to death as any one ever was. I then began the study of Christian Science, and with the help of a practitioner one by one the physical ailments disappeared, so that now I am a new person,—"old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

To say that I am grateful for the physical healing would poorly express my feeling. I am, however, even more grateful for the spiritual uplift, for whereas I had no God or hope in the world, now "I know that my redeemer liveth." I thank God every day for the humble Nazarene who marked the way for all men. I also thank Him for Mrs. Eddy, that beautiful, pure woman who gave to the world this new-old truth, Christian Science.—Ruby Helms, Oakland, Cal.
