I have long wanted to express my gratitude for healing, and recently have felt impelled to do so. During the winter of 1909 I was attacked with a very severe bowel disorder. I was a student of Christian Science at the time, but felt that my understanding was not sufficient to meet my need, so I called a practitioner. My healing was slow, but I am thankful now that it was so, because of the spiritual growth during this time. I look back with joy unspeakable to the day that Christian Science was presented to me. I am very grateful to all who have helped me, and I hope to show in my life some of the thankfulness which is in my heart.
