From Our Exchanges

[The Christian Intelligencer]

We are not strangers to the ideal of the great apostle. The secret of his blessedness and perennial spiritual vigor and hopefulness is conveyed in the words, "To me to live is Christ." Paul found in Christ the answer to all his needs and scope for all his powers. The problems of life and destiny, as they struggled in Paul's soul for solution, found answer in Christ. And when he saw the light and opened his soul to it, he found himself in the sweep of mighty purposes, and learned that Christ's call to every man admits him into partnership with God in the regeneration of a world. It is just this which appeals to every right thinking man. We want an answer to some of the questions which life presses upon us. We want at least a satisfying faith in which we can rest. We want work, also, worthy of our powers. Paul found all he wanted in Christ and so he got the spirit which never grows old.
