As I had trouble previous to the birth of a baby, I went to see our physician, and after examination he said that on account of injuries at a former birth, material supports would have to be used. This was done, but even then the birth was premature, and the child lived only a few days. The doctor said I would have to undergo an operation, but this was not done.

Since taking up Christian Science I have had a healthy, happy girl born, and I never even went to see a doctor, but had Christian Science treatment for some time before the little one's arrival was expected. At the time of the birth there were with me my husband, my mother, and a practitioner. I was up a little while the third day, and from that on as I chose. I got along the best I ever did, taking everything into consideration. I have had no return of the old trouble, and have felt well almost every day; indeed, I am doing the work for our family of five in all, with the help of my husband and children.
