While visiting relatives in Sweden, four years ago, I was attacked by rheumatic fever. I tried to meet the attack myself, but found that I had to turn to a Christian Science practitioner in Stockholm to realize that man is the perfect reflection of God. Within a week I was out of bed, in two weeks I was restored to perfect health, and there has been no relapse. This has meant a great deal to me, as I had experienced the same trouble before I came into Christian Science. At that time I was confined to my bed several weeks, and it took months before I was perfectly well.

I am very grateful for this healing, for it was an opportunity to prove to those about me (who were not Christian Scientists) that in turning to the infinite we find sure help. Since my healing a sister who resides in Sweden has become a student of Christian Science, and very recently one of her little daughters was beautifully healed through its teaching. In our home we have daily proofs of the ever-presence of God, good. We are very grateful for what understanding we have, and are daily striving to put it in practise.
