I send this testimony with the hope that it may serve to strengthen those who are interested in Christian Science and help them to see the truth of being. After a recent experience of healing I feel as if I would like the whole world to know what Truth can do for us. In the past I have been reluctant to send my testimony, but my heart is so full of gratitude to divine Love that I can no longer delay. In reaching too far, I strained my back so badly that I came near falling from pain, but as soon as I could collect myself, I began to declare the truth and repeated the "scientific statement of being" (Science and Health, p. 468). This happened in the early morning, and it took me some time to get dressed, as every movement caused great pain, it being almost impossible for me to stand erect. After breakfast, however, I called up a practitioner over the telephone and asked her to help me. In the mean time I took up my daily study of the Lesson-Sermon, and by five o'clock that evening I was free from all pain. I surely feel thankful to God for what Christian Science has done for me, and grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the healing truth. In Christian Science I have found health, happiness, and an ever-present God. The joy I derive from learning to know God is unspeakable.
