My heart is so full of gratitude to divine Love, and also...
My heart is so full of gratitude to divine Love, and also to Mrs. Eddy, for what Christian Science has done for me, that I feel I must send this statement to the Sentinel. When I was five years old I had a severe fall, and this supposedly brought on a form of epilepsy from which I suffered until I was about twelve, when I seemed to outgrow the attacks; but they returned with redoubled force at the age of forty-five and for more than three years my suffering increased with little hope of relief. In the early nineties my sister-in-law came out from Buffalo, N. Y., to our home in lowa, to reside. She brought with her a copy of Science and Health, and this was the first I had ever heard of Christian Science.
At first I would not listen to her, but she convinced my husband and children that there was something in it, and after a good deal of persuasion, to please them, I consented to take absent treatment. I had no faith in it myself, but a practitioner in Buffalo was written to and during my treatment I lost all consciousness of the body and seemed to be lifted above materiality. That one treatment healed me completely, with no return of the malady, and from that time I have understood that God is All-in-all, and He has been my physician, my very life, ever since. I am now sixty-seven years of age and do all my housework, as well as look after other duties on our farm.
Mrs. Hannah Cole, Forest Grove, Ore.
